Windows XP Setup Instructions
Checking Your Connection Settings

The following instructions and screenshots will demonstrate how to check your connection settings.
 
Use Internet Properties to check your dialup account settings.

1. Open the Internet Explorer web browser from your desktop.

   • Double click on the Internet Explorer Icon on your desktop.  (if you receive a screen asking you to connect click on cancel. If you receive a "Page not found error" just ignore it.

   • Click on Tools

   • Click on Internet Options
     
      

2. The Internet Options Screen will appear.

3. When your setting match all these screens click "OK" until all screens are closed.
   Note:  If you have made any changes it is a good idea to "Power cycle" your PC by clicking on "Start" -> "Turn Off Computer".
   Start your computer back up and connect to the Internet by double clicking on the Internet Explorer icon on your desktop.
