Configure Windows ME to Connect to
IOLS
- From the Start menu, click Settings, and choose Dial-Up
Networking.

- Double-click the Make New Connection icon.

The following screen will appear:

- In the Type a name for the computer you are dialing
field, type IOLS.
- Click the down arrow on the Select a device drop-down
list and choose your default modem.
- Click the Next button.
The following Screen will appear:
- In the Area code field, type in your local area code.
- In the Telephone number field, type your local IOLS
access number. Remember to check with your local telephone
company to make sure that the number you choose is a local
toll-free call.
- Click the Next button.
- Click the Finish button.
- In Dialup Networking Click the IOLS icon with your right
mouse button, then choose Properties.

The following screen will appear:
- Click on the Networking tab.
- Click the down arrow on the Type of Dial-Up Server:
drop-down list and choose PPP: Internet, Windows 2000/NT,
Windows Me.
- Uncheck all the boxes except for Enable software compression
and TCP/IP.
- Click the TCP/IP Settings... button.
- Click on The TCP/IP Settings... button and the next
screen will appear:
- Select "Server assigned IP address".
- Select "Server assigned name server addresses".
- Click the OK button.
- Click on the Security tab.
- In the User name: field, type in your username and add
@access immediately after the username using all lower case
letters.
Be sure to type @access
after your username
(example: username@access).
- In the Password: field, type in your password.
You may also click on "Connect automatically" to have
your computer automatically dial your IOLS whenever you open your
browser or email client.
- Click the OK button.
- In Dialup Networking Click the IOLS icon with your right
mouse button, then choose Create Shortcut.

- Click the Yes button.

You are now ready to connect to the Internet Using Your Windows
ME Operating System.

Just click on the Icon on your Desktop Labeled "Shortcut
to IOLS" and your computer will dial your Internet
Connection using your IOLS Dialup Internet Access account.
