Setting
up your Windows 98 PC to connect the the Internet is easy. In
most cases all you will need to do is follow the instructions
below.

Double
Click on the Internet Explorer icon on your desktop and open the
browser.

Click
on the menu item called "Tools"

Click
on the menu item called "Internet Options"
-
The
Internet Options window will open.

Click
on the tab labeled "Connection"
The
following screen shots show what each setting should be.
Once you have made the selection on your PC click the
"Next" button to move forward in the Wizard.



Click on the "Advanced" button

Make sure your settings are as they appear
above.





If your email address is yourusername@iols.com
Enter: yourusername@iols.com
If
your email address is yourusername@iols.net
Enter: yourusername@iols.net

If your email address is yourusername@iols.com
Incoming Mail server: mail.iols.com
Outgoing Mail server: mail.iols.com
If
your email address is yourusername@iols.net
Incoming Mail server: mail.iols.net
Outgoing Mail server: smtp.iols.net


If your phone line is connected to your PC
and not in use Click "Finish"
If not, uncheck the box and click on
"Finish"
You have successfully
created a Dial-up Connection in Windows 98
