Dialing and Connecting to IOLS
Windows 95 & 98

There are two ways to dial your Internet connection
1. Creating a shortcut to the IOLS Icon and placing it on your desktop
2.
Use the Internet Icon
The Internet (Icon) or the Internet Explorer Icon Internet Explorer (Icon)on your desktop

Creating a shortcut to the IOLS Icon and placing it on your desktop.
To do this...
Click on the The "My Computer" icon is located on your desk top screen icon on your desktop.
Click on the Click on the "Dial-up Networking" icon icon
Right click on the Right click on the IOLS icon and select "Properties" icon you created earlier and select "Properties".
Click on "Create Shortcut".  You will get the following message:
Click on "Yes".  This places the shortcut on yoru desk top.
Click "Yes".  This places the shortcut on your desktop.

When you want to connect to the Internet all you have to do is
click on the Click on the "Shortcut to IOLS" icon to open the "Connect to" windowicon and the following window will appear...


Make sure all the information is correct in this window and then click on "Connect".


Use the Internet icon on your desktop
  
Another way to connect using Windows 95
is to use the The Internet Explorer icon on your desktop or The Internet icon on your desktop Internet icon on your desktop.

If this is your first Internet connection using Windows 95 a short Wizard will take you through the remaining steps to dial into Inet OnLine Services (IOLS). You shouldn't have any problems as we have already configured your connection.

If any information appears within the setup boxes DO NOT CHANGE IT since it will change any settings previously set up.  (Please click here for a tutorial on setting up the "Internet Connection Wizard".)

If Inet OnLine Services (IOLS) is replacing a previous providers setup
Right-click on the Internet icon or an existing Netscape icon to make the necessary changes. This setup will prompt you for your username and password that you have chosen. Please enter them in the appropriate places and make sure you type "yourusername@access" (No quotes) in the User name field.

That's all there is to it!
Now you're ready to start surfing the Net...
