  Changing The Outgoing Mail Server in Netscape 7.1

To change the outgoing mail server for Netscape 7.1 you please do the following:

• Open Netscape Mail

• Click on "Edit"

• Click on "Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings..."

• Scroll to the bottom of the left column and click on "Outgoing Server (SMTP)" to highlight it.

• Click "OK" and the new setting will be saved.

If you cannot change the "Server Name", please continue on...

• Click on the "Advanced..." button (See above) located in the lower right corner of the screen. The following window will open... 
  

• Click on the "Add" button
  
  Enter the following info...

  • Server name: smtp.iols.net

  • Port: 25

  • Make sure "Use name and password" is checked

  • User name: yourusername

  • Click on "Never"

  • Click "OK"

• Click "OK" again

• Click "OK" one more time

• In the left column click on your email account (To highlight it).
  It is usually listed as "yourusername@iols.net" or "mail.iols.net"

• Click on  "View settings for this account"

• Click on the "Advanced" button in the lower right corner of the screen to open "Advanced Account Settings"
  

• Click the drop down arrow and click on the listing for "smtp.iols.net:25"
  
  Click "OK"

• Click "OK" again to close the window
