  Setting Up Netscape 7.1 Email

Netscape 7.1 Email Setup Instructions
For IOLS Email Accounts @iols.net

• Open Netscape 7.1

• Click the "Window" menu item

• Click on "Mail & News Groups"

• Click on "Create New Account" located in the main section of the page

• This will open the Account Wizard and the window for "New Account Setup" will open

• Click on "Email account" and click "Next"

• The Identity window will open
  Enter Your Name in the "Your Name" field
  Enter yourusername@iols.com in the "Email Address Field"
  and click "Next"

• The Server Information window will open
  Click on "POP"
  In the "Incoming Server" field enter: mail.iols.net
  In the "Outgoing Server" field enter: smtp.iols.net
  and click on "Next"

• The User Name window will open
  Make sure that the "User Name" field has only yourusername in it
  And click "Next"

• The Account Name window will open
  Make sure that the "Account Name" field has your IOLS Email Address in it (i.e. yourusername@iols.net). If it does not have this delete whatever is in there and enter yourusername@iols.net
  And click "Next"

• The Congratulations window will open
  Verify that all information is correct. If any of the information is incorrect click the "Back" button and make the necessary changes.
  Click on the check mark next to "Download messages now" to remove it
  (See below for the screen shot "Account Wizard - Congratulations" showing how your settings should look.)

The final screen should look like this.

• Click on the "Finish" button. This will save the settings and exit the Account Wizard.

• You will now be returned to Netscape 7.1 Mail
  (See Screen Shot Below)

• Make sure you have selected the account you just setup. Look on the left side of the window to find it and highlight it.

• Make sure you are connected to the Internet.

• Click on "Read Messages" in the main window.

• You will be prompted for the password for your account.
  Enter your password and, if you desire, click on the box next to "Use Password manager to remember this password". Then click "OK".

• Any email sent to your iols.com email address will be delivered to you and listed in your "Inbox". To view those messages click on "Inbox".
