Outlook 97 - Setup Instructions
(Note:
Current IOLS Customers... If your email address is username@iols.net
please click here.)
Open Microsoft Outlook the way you
normally do
Click on Tools
Click on Services
Click on Add
Click on Internet E-mail and click on Add..
The following screen will appear

Click OK and the next screen appears

Fill in the information as it appears above replacing
"yourusername" with your IOLS username and click OK.
then click on the Servers tab and the next screen appears.

Fill in the information as it appears above.
Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.iols.net
Incoming Mail Server: mail.iols.net
Replace
"yourusername" with your IOLS username and click OK.
Now click on the Connection tab and the next screen appears.

Click on "Connect using my phone line"
Now click on the Advanced tab and the next screen appears.

Make sure that your screen looks exactly like this one.
Now, click OK and the following message will appear.

Now all you have to do is...
Click on File
Click on Exit and Log Off (Outlook will then close)
And then restart Microsoft Outlook like you normally do.
You are now ready to send and receive
email with your IOLS account

A note on email use:
Remember that sending unsolicited email (Spamming) is not acceptable
under the "IOLS Customer Usage Terms
of Service" and that if you do use your email account for
Spamming you will incur substantial penalties.
